In the morning, at the agreed time your guide and driver will be waiting for you at the hotel lobby. Transfer to the Great Wall first. As there are too many tourists in Badaling Great Wall, Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is a nice place to feel an ancient China. The grey stones, lofty watchtowers and winding routes all tell us a story of soul-stirring history.

Enjoy a Chinese lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to visit the Ming Tombs, the biggest imperial mausoleum complex in China and even the world. Thirteen emperors of Ming Dynasty were buried here, taken as a treasure place with superior surroundings. As some parts of Ming Tombs are not excavated, you will visit its main viewpoint Dingling Tomb.

After that, be sent back to downtown Beijing. Peking Roast Duck should not be missed once you come to Beijing. Perhaps it is the most famous dish of Chinese cuisine. Try a piece of duck skin with sweet sauce, taste the splendid journey little by little. A wonderful dinner could absolutely comfort your spirit as well as stomach after sightseeing for a whole day.

Be sent back to hotel after this full-day tour, then you are free to explore Beijing on own or simply have rest in hotel.

Temple of Heaven, Tian'anmen Square & Forbidden City

After breakfast, be picked up and then transfer to visit the Temple of Heaven, which was the place for emperors to sacrifice the heaven. In feudal times, emperors prayed here to Heaven for a prosperous year. Today around Temple of Heaven there are groups of local residents practicing Tai Chi, Kung Fu as morning exercise. You may have the chance to know more about the daily life of Beijing local people. Later come to Tian'anmen Square, which is now the largest central square in the world, has been Beijing’s city heart all the way. In Tian'anmen Square, there are much important architecture including the Great Hall of the people, the Monument to the People’s Heroes and Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, which can be regarded as an epitome of China’s modern history. Later you shall walk through the Jinshui (Golden Water) Bridge into the Forbidden City, where was once the Emperor’s palace as well as the political center of the Central Court. Look at the yellow roof, glazed tile and red wall, and listen to the tour guide's explanation, just imagine what emperors' daily life would be.

Be sent back to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Go for another full-day sightseeing in Beijing City today. Lama Temple, which is the residence of Emperor Yongzheng when he was still a prince, is worthy your time. Visitors are mainly interested in three matchless master pieces in the Lama Temple, they are: an 18-metre-high Maitreya statue engraved from a 26-metre-long white sandal-wood log, "the Five hundred Arhats Hill" made of gold, silver, copper, iron as well as tin, and the niche carved out of Nanmu (this kind of Phoebe Nanmu can give off an unusual scent reputed to repel mosquitoes in summer). Follow on this, the Summer Palace is on your heels. As an ancient Chinese garden, the Summer Palace ranks among the most noted and classical gardens of the world. Centered on the Tower of Buddhist Incense, the Summer Palace consists of over 3,000 structures including pavilions, towers, bridges, and corridors that for sure you will have a memorable time in it.

In the afternoon, you will have an external view of Beijing 2008 Olympic Park firstly. Take a photo in front of Bird's Nest Stadium and Water Cube, amazing experience! Later you would be carried by the rickshaw when entering the alley-like lane, sitting on and seeing around. Hutong is a window from which you can learn what local residents here lived their lives as. This is the most popular transportation type when visitors come to Beijing these years!

After the tour, be sent back to the hotel or transferred to the airport/train station according to your travel plan.
